The National Bank of Ukraine strengthened the hryvnia against the euro by 6 kopecks for Monday, August 10, setting the official rate at 51.61 hryvnias. The official US dollar rate remained unchanged from the previous indicator at 44.76 hryvnias.
Data from the regulator show that on the interbank foreign exchange market of Ukraine, hryvnia quotes against the dollar reached 44.77 to 44.81 hryvnias per dollar by 16:00. Interbank quotes for the euro stood at 51.64 to 51.67 hryvnias per euro.
Commercial bank rates in Ukraine
In Ukrainian banks on August 7, the dollar exchange rate increased by 6 kopecks to 45.05 hryvnias per dollar, while people could sell US currency at an average rate of 44.51 hryvnias per dollar. The average euro rate increased by 2 kopecks to 51.92 hryvnias per euro, with a selling rate of 51.34 hryvnias per euro.
At PrivatBank, the dollar rate rose by 5 kopecks to 44.95 hryvnias per dollar, and the buying rate for customers selling dollars was 44.35 hryvnias. The bank kept its euro rate unchanged at 51.95 hryvnias per euro, offering to buy euros at 50.95 hryvnias per unit.
