Peruvian businessman Alonso Grimaldo has spoken publicly for the first time about the scandal involving him and television personality Carla Campos Salazar, after days of silence following footage that showed the two together. Grimaldo also said he is not friends with Víctor Caballero, the media personality known as Curwen and Campos Salazar's former boyfriend.
The footage of Campos Salazar and Grimaldo aired on Monday, August 17, 2026, on the programme 'Magaly TV, la firme'. The images showed Curwen's former girlfriend acting very familiarly with the young businessman, and according to the show, the two kissed.
Grimaldo's reaction to the footage became one of the most searched topics in the days that followed, until he chose to address it directly on the podcast 'Cardio social'. He said his life changed completely after his appearance on Magaly Medina's programme, and revealed that he had reached out to Campos Salazar afterward to check on her.
