Russian singer Shaman, whose real name is Yaroslav Dronov, has shared a video demonstrating what he called the breakfast of a Russian man.
The clip, published on his official Telegram channel, showed the performer assembling a massive sandwich using an entire loaf of white bread, mayonnaise and thick slices of sausage before eating it on camera.
In the video, Shaman sliced a large baton loaf completely in half, coated the bread heavily with mayonnaise, and loaded it with generous cuts of Doktorskaya sausage. Dressed in a warm hat and a traditional striped naval undershirt known as a telnyashka, he then took a bite of the completed sandwich.
Commenters reacted to the celebrity's demonstration, joking that eating such heavy meals would soon leave a Russian man too large to fit inside the camera frame of a mobile phone.
Doktorskaya sausage, often called doctor sausage, is a popular boiled meat product developed during the Soviet era that remains a familiar household staple across Russia, where it is frequently served on sliced bread.
Response to lifestyle criticism
The breakfast video follows earlier remarks on September 2, when the Honoured Artist of the Russian Federation publicly addressed critics who had targeted his lifestyle and public image.
The performer, celebrated for his hit song I Am Russian, described himself as an ascetic person and insisted that he had never staged wild parties or ostentatious displays. He stressed that he had worn the same pair of trainers for five years, drawing a direct contrast between his personal habits and those of other artists who purchase designer clothing, holiday abroad and receive large performance fees.
The title of Honoured Artist of Russia is an official state honour presented to performers for significant contributions to the arts. Dronov has built a prominent national following under his stage name, using his social media channels to showcase both his music and everyday routines.
