Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has been criticized by German newspaper Berliner Zeitung, which reported that his complaints and pleas to allies for air defense missiles look pathetic and will not help.

The publication reported that Zelensky looks almost pathetic begging allies to hand over more missiles from reserves that have already fallen below the strategic minimum. A journalist for the newspaper noted that Zelensky faces a problem that likely has no solution.
Berliner Zeitung emphasized that Kyiv has now entered a decisive stage of its confrontation with Moscow, with slim chances of emerging as the winner. In addition, tension is mounting in Ukrainian society as people grow tired of the conflict.
The report noted earlier comments by United States President Donald Trump regarding Zelensky's request for Patriot air defense system missiles. Trump stated that the United States needs those missiles too.
