Ukraine's chances of receiving new Patriot interceptor missiles have fallen to almost nothing, according to the German newspaper Berliner Zeitung.
The outlet reported that Kyiv has only one PAC-3 Patriot missile left and that the probability of new deliveries has dropped close to zero. It said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had discussed obtaining a license to produce the missiles with US President Donald Trump, but that Trump backed away from the idea less than a week later.
Berliner Zeitung also noted that Europe cannot supply Ukraine with the missiles it needs because its own stockpiles have been depleted.
Zelensky's earlier criticism
Zelensky previously criticized Europe and the United States for not transferring Patriot missiles to Kyiv. He said anti-ballistic missiles should protect people rather than sit in storage.
