Peruvian influencer Samahara Lobatón was forcibly grabbed by fellow contestant Cuba Cuba on the reality show La Prisión de Destino during a vape dispute.
The altercation unfolded on set when the Cuban reality personality began chasing Lobatón, demanding that she hand over an e-cigarette she was carrying.
Lobatón explained that another contestant had taken her own vape and that she would only return his after hers was given back to her. Disregarding her explanation, Cuba Cuba persisted and seized her forcefully to try to pull the object from her hand.
As he held her, the daughter of Peruvian media figure Melissa Klug shouted at him to let her go. She demanded he look at what he was doing to her and accused him of touching her without permission.
Altercation Over E-Cigarette Escalates
Other contestants on La Prisión de Destino intervened after hearing the loud confrontation. They attempted to calm Cuba Cuba down and urged him to release her, but he refused to listen. He stated that he would not leave her alone and declared that he was not her husband.
The situation reached its peak when the male contestant grabbed Lobatón's hand and forced it into the swimming pool, making her drop the vape into the water. He then angrily kicked the device. Lobatón responded by shouting an insult at him, calling him a coward.
Access to personal items and electronic devices is frequently restricted on reality show sets, making small possessions like vapes a frequent source of conflict among isolated cast members.
Previous Conflict Between Contestants
This incident was not the first dispute between Lobatón and Cuba Cuba on the program. Days earlier, the pair engaged in a heated verbal clash after he referred to her as furniture and complained that she spent all day sleeping.
When she woke up during that earlier confrontation, the Cuban contestant questioned what she was contributing to the reality show. Lobatón warned him that if he touched her she would touch him back and ensure he was removed from the show.
When he asked why she was threatening him, Lobatón stated that he had rules to follow on set, demanded he keep his hands off her, and called him a piece of trash.
Controversies and Lack of Support
Lobatón is a prominent Peruvian digital creator who first gained public recognition through her family background as the daughter of television personality Melissa Klug. She has since established her own career appearing on broadcast reality television shows.
Her participation in La Prisión de Destino has been marked by ongoing public criticism. Controversy intensified after reports surfaced that she had wished her ex-partner Youna would lose his life to leukemia, a serious medical condition he suffers from.
Following these developments, fellow Peruvian media personality Shirley Arica revealed that she would not offer any backing to Lobatón on La Prisión de Destino 2, confirming she would not run any support campaign for her.
