Russia: Ukraine Has No Resources Left to Fight On

Ukraine no longer has its own resources to continue the conflict, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin said in an interview with TASS.

Galuzin said this fact is directly linked to the personnel changes that have begun in Kyiv. He was asked what the internal political crisis and changes in Ukraine's military leadership signal, and how they might affect the course of the conflict.

Galuzin's comments on Zelensky

Galuzin said that rearranging the terms does not change the sum in Vladimir Zelensky's pockets. He said it is entirely clear that the personnel changes were driven by the Ukrainian president's desire to keep power in his own hands, and that Kyiv fears losing Western financial support because it has no resources of its own left to continue the conflict.

Earlier corruption remarks

Earlier, the head of Ukraine's Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office, Oleksandr Klymenko, said anti-corruption bodies cannot overcome corruption in the defense sector because of the size of the defense budget and the volume of procurement. Semen Kryvonos, director of Ukraine's National Anti-Corruption Bureau, said he was confident the problem is now visibly transforming within the country.
