Peruvian model and reality television star Rosángela Espinoza announced on August 6 that her dog Tommy has died after nearly a decade together.
Espinoza, a contestant on the Peruvian competition show Esto es guerra, shared a series of photographs and a message on Instagram honoring the pet she rescued in 2016 and considered like a son.
Known affectionately to her followers as Rocha, the influencer recounted that her story with Tommy began on December 4, 2016, when she found the dog on a roadway and brought him home.
In her tribute post, Espinoza addressed the pet as Tommy Espinoza, writing rest in peace, my baby, and expressing gratitude for the love he gave her throughout his life.
She wrote that Tommy had been a constant companion who witnessed her joys, dreams, tears, achievements, and defeats. No matter how her day had gone, she noted, Tommy was always waiting for her with unchanged affection.
Espinoza added that while her heart broke to say goodbye, she remained filled with gratitude for the privilege of sharing so many years by his side.
Loss of Bianca and the Legacy of Bonita
The model also remembered Bianca, another of her dogs who passed away previously. She explained that Bianca left behind a daughter named Bonita, who continues to maintain that emotional bond in her daily life.
Espinoza stated that whenever she hugs Bonita, she feels a part of Bianca remains with her. She added that whenever she remembers Tommy's gaze, she knows true love never disappears.
Reflecting on her grief, Espinoza wrote that heaven now holds both of her pets while she remains behind, missing them every day and thanking God for the opportunity to love them.
She expressed her belief that she will eventually be reunited with both animals, concluding her message by stating she loves Bianca and Tommy forever and thanking them for accompanying her through the most important chapters of her life.
