American singer, songwriter, and poet Patti Smith will perform at the Coliseu dos Recreios in Lisbon on June 15, 2027.
The influential rock figure will be accompanied by her band as she revisits key tracks from a career spanning more than five decades.
Tickets for the show will range in price from 45 euros to 65 euros and will go on sale on September 25.
The performance marks her return to the historic Lisbon venue 12 years after her previous concert at the hall in September 2015.
Previous appearances in Portugal and concert repertoire
Smith last appeared in Portugal in 2024, when she performed at the Jardins do Marquês festival in Oeiras, a municipality situated along the coast west of Lisbon.
Her repertoire for the Coliseu concert will feature signature classics such as Gloria, Dancing Barefoot, People Have the Power, and Because the Night.
Known for blending rock music with poetry and literature, Smith has maintained a multidisciplinary artistic career since emerging in the 1970s.
The Coliseu dos Recreios, located in central Lisbon, has hosted major performing arts and international musical acts since opening in the late 19th century.
International awards and cultural honors
The concert announcement comes following her distinction with the 2026 Princess of Asturias Award for the Arts.
The honor adds to an extensive list of international accolades recognizing the cultural impact of her lifetime body of work.

Literary publications and papal audience
Beyond her musical performances, Smith's literary work includes her memoir M Train, which has arrived in Portuguese bookstores.
Her connections to European literature also include her public recitations of poetry by Fernando Pessoa, one of Portugal's most celebrated 20th-century literary figures.
In addition to her artistic recognition, Smith was previously received in a private audience at the Vatican by Pope Leo XIV.
