Peruvian singer Naldy Saldaña has launched her solo music career weeks after resigning from popular cumbia group La Bella Luz following a complaint of inappropriate touching against former musical director César Sánchez.
Saldaña announced the creation of her own orchestra and released her debut solo single, titled Aprenderás, despite experiencing recent personal and professional adversity. She stated that music had been a witness to all of her moments, both good and bad, adding that the young girl who once dreamed of performing on various stages had grown up. She emphasized that she was moving forward not only as an artist, but as a woman who chose not to surrender, declaring that her new path begins now.

The singer described launching her solo career with the track Aprenderás as a major challenge, noting that bringing the song to reality in just a few days required significant effort. Her decision to step away from La Bella Luz followed a formal complaint she filed against César Sánchez, the former musical director of the group, alleging inappropriate touching. During an appearance on the television entertainment program El reventonazo de la Chola, Saldaña broke down in tears as she revealed what she described as a painful betrayal by several of her former bandmates from La Bella Luz following her allegations. Saldaña also disclosed during her television interview that she had turned down an attractive proposal from Óscar Junior, another member of La Bella Luz. She explained that accepting the offer would not have been the right thing to do under the circumstances.
The singer's sister also publicly voiced her support, breaking down in tears while dedicating an emotional message to Saldaña after the complaint was made public. She praised the performer's courage, describing her sister as the bravest woman for standing up for herself.
La Bella Luz is a well-known ensemble in Peru's vibrant cumbia scene, a popular genre characterized by large touring bands known as orquestas.
