Peruvian influencer Mafer Neyra married Ernesto Cabieses on September 12 in Lima, capping five years of dating with a civil ceremony attended by family, friends and figures from the entertainment world.
The wedding came after a period in which Neyra was widely known for her six-year relationship with television personality Hugo García, before she began her romance with Cabieses, a businessman she had actually known since childhood.
Emotional wedding vows
One of the most moving moments of the ceremony came when Neyra read her wedding vows aloud to Cabieses in front of the guests. She said the first thought that came to her mind was how lucky it was that their parents had decided to have homes in the Canary Islands, because that was where the couple met as children.
Neyra said she never imagined that at the age of 12 she would meet the love of her life and future husband, adding that it made sense, since from the moment she first saw him she had never stopped thinking about him.
She went on to describe the boy she remembered from those early years, recalling him as a polite child who greeted every adult on the beach with a firm handshake and a small voice that said, "Hello, how are you? Ernesto Cabieses."
A childhood memory that impressed her parents
Neyra said her own parents were struck by the boy's manners at the time. She recalled that to this day they still repeat how impressed they were, thinking he was the only child who stopped to greet people properly while everyone else walked into the house and forgot to say hello.
She closed her vows by thanking her in-laws for raising such a respectful and well-mannered man to stand beside her.
Guests reportedly responded to the vows with visible emotion, praising the sincerity and romantic tone of her words.
A new chapter for the couple
The wedding marked the start of a new stage for Neyra and Cabieses, who solidified their relationship after five years of dating. The event was described as intimate and emotional, with details that reflected both of their personalities.
Neyra's vows drew the most attention, not only for their emotional weight but also for the memories she shared during the ceremony. Many interpreted her words as a sign that she had always carried thoughts of her now-husband with her, even during earlier chapters of her life, including her relationship with García.
García, a former reality television star, is also going through a happy period of his own. He and Venezuelan partner Isabella Ladera welcomed their first child in July 2026.
