Apple's iPhone 17 Pro has hit a record low price of 1,199 euros on Amazon, a 120-euro discount matched by MediaMarkt.

iPhone 17 Pro Falls to Record Low Price on Amazon

Apple's iPhone 17 Pro has dropped to its lowest price yet on Amazon, now selling for 1,199 euros instead of its original 1,319 euros, a total discount of 120 euros. MediaMarkt is offering the same price.

The cut comes as the phone nears its first anniversary since launch, a period in which it has rarely carried major discounts. Apple's next generation of phones is expected to cost more, making the current price drop notable for shoppers, and the iPhone 17 Pro remains capable of performing at a high level for years, according to the report.

Camera and Dual Capture

The camera system is the biggest difference between the Pro model and the standard iPhone 17. It is the first Apple phone to combine a 48-megapixel main sensor, wide-angle lens and telephoto lens, allowing photos and videos the report described as cinematic quality. The phone also has an 18-megapixel front camera, which can be used with a new Dual Capture feature.

Chip, Memory and Software

The device runs on Apple's A19 Pro chip, paired with 12GB of RAM that helps with multitasking, and 256GB of storage. It ships with iOS 26, which is expected to lose its spotlight within weeks as Apple moves to a newer version, though the report said the phone will keep receiving software updates for years to come.

Display Specifications

The iPhone 17 Pro has a 6.3-inch OLED Super Retina XDR display with peak brightness of 3,000 nits, a resolution of 2,868 by 1,320 pixels, a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, and Ceramic Shield 2 protection.

New Design and Battery

This generation introduces one of the biggest design changes in recent years, with a new unibody chassis made of forged aluminum and a small glass panel on the back dedicated to MagSafe wireless charging. Battery life is the area that has changed least, though it has still improved: the phone lasts about a day and a half per charge and supports faster 40W charging.
