A source told TASS the 2026 contest will take place as planned. The event will be held in Saudi Arabia, though the exact venue is still being discussed.

Reports had emerged that the originally planned venue in Riyadh might not be ready to host the vocal competition, fueling speculation the contest could be scrapped.
Music manager Iosif Prigozhin had earlier said Intervision should feature unknown artists rather than famous performers, arguing that popular singers are already major stars and do not need the platform.
