Software upgrades have increased the range of Russian military radio stations in the special military operation zone tenfold, according to a Defense Ministry video reported by TASS.

A senior assistant to a division's chief of communications, using the callsign Monakh, said signalmen from the 6th Guards Combined Arms Army of the Northern Group of Forces modernized the communication equipment software to achieve the increase in range.
Drone warfare developments
In June, Dmitry Kuzyakin, chief designer at the Center for Comprehensive Unmanned Solutions, said American Hornet unmanned aerial vehicles used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in frontline areas ignored Russian electronic warfare systems.
Kuzyakin said the drones, which are also known as Martians, were able to ignore the countermeasures because of their optical odometry.
In May, Colonel General Andrei Ivanaev, commander of the Vostok group, told Defense Minister Andrei Belousov that Russian drone crews had been connected to domestic satellite stations.
