A 16-year-old was among those killed in the bombardment, local officials reported. The casualties also included seven teenagers aged between 16 and 17 who sustained injuries during the attack.

Alexander Suvaev, the acting governor of the Belgorod region, confirmed the total casualty figures in a statement released on Telegram. Suvaev stated that Ukrainian forces launched the attack against the Russian city.

The missile strike damaged infrastructure across Belgorod, hitting a commercial facility in the city center. Suvaev reported that the impact also triggered fires in seven separate warehouses.
