The National Police of Peru have arrested two suspects following a burglary at the San Isidro home of actress Bárbara Cayo.
The arrests were made during police operations in Callao and Miraflores days after the crime occurred on Saturday, August 15, while Cayo and her family were away from the property.

Police operations and suspect detentions
Police identified one of the detained men as 58-year-old Óscar Tizón Purizaga, who was apprehended at his residence in Callao. Officers noted that Tizón Purizaga has a prior criminal record for aggravated theft dating back to 2014 and 2016. Upon his arrest, he claimed that he needed to speak with his attorney, maintained he knew nothing about the break-in, and questioned why officers were detaining him.
Authorities identified the second suspect as Luis Flores, who was held at the Department of Criminal Investigation facility in Miraflores. During a press conference detailing the arrests, police officials revealed that officers seized gold geolocators, metal detectors, half a kilogram of marijuana, and cash during the raids.
Security footage and stolen items
The 52-year-old actress publicly shared security camera footage of the incident on social media and television broadcasts, expressing outrage over the break-in. Exterior camera footage showed two subjects entering through the main door during the afternoon and fleeing minutes later, leaving behind a forced lock. Cayo also shared footage showing the interior of her house left in complete disarray as the intruders searched for valuables.
Speaking about the incident, Cayo stated that she was in shock while completing formal police report procedures. She emphasized that no one had the right to usurp a private property or take personal belongings. Cayo added that beyond monetary value, the stolen items carried deep sentimental worth, noting that the burglars took her jewelry as well as both her Italian and Peruvian passports.
