Andrea San Martin Attends Baby Shower After Police Release

Television personality Andrea San Martin has reappeared in public at a family baby shower in Lima, hours after being released from police custody.

The model and businesswoman had spent nearly 40 hours detained at a police station in the Miraflores district following a complaint filed by her former partner, Juan Victor Sanchez. Sanchez accused San Martin of physical and psychological aggression against the young daughter the pair share.

Images of San Martin smiling alongside family members circulated widely on social media after she attended a party for her sister, Ximena, on Saturday, October 24. The family celebration took place just one day after San Martin regained her freedom.

Appearance at sister's baby shower

The gathering was organized to celebrate the upcoming arrival of Ximena's baby, bringing together relatives and close friends of the expectant mother. Although San Martin chose not to post photographs of the celebration on her personal social media accounts, her sister shared an image from the party on Instagram.

The picture showed San Martin, widely known by the nickname Ojiverde, smiling beside her pregnant sister and other guests. The post confirmed her attendance at the celebration and drew widespread public attention, contrasting with the legal controversy that had led to her detention by police in Miraflores.

Comments outside the police station

Upon leaving the Miraflores precinct, San Martin spoke briefly to reporters who had gathered outside. Visibly affected by the situation, the influencer declined to provide specific details about the accusations and centered her remarks on her daughter.

San Martin told reporters that her mind was entirely focused on the situation that journalists had witnessed since her arrival at the police station. She said she did not want to add or subtract anything from what had happened, stating that the matter was what it was.

She added that she did not wish to speak about anyone at all, noting that the remaining issues followed a formal legal path that had to be respected. The source reported that San Martin also expressed distress over being unable to see her daughter following her release from custody.

Custody dispute and legal proceedings

The controversy follows formal accusations filed by Sanchez, who alleged that San Martin had subjected their young daughter to physical and psychological mistreatment. Sanchez subsequently appeared publicly with the child after San Martin was freed, describing the ordeal as exhausting.

San Martin is a well-known television personality, model, and businesswoman in Peru, having risen to national prominence on reality television programs before building a career as an entrepreneur and digital content creator. Her personal life and parental relationship with Sanchez have frequently received substantial media coverage.

Under Peruvian legal procedures, complaints involving family welfare and alleged abuse against minors are processed through the National Police and the public prosecutor's office. With formal complaints registered, judicial and child welfare authorities review the statements and evidence submitted by both parents.
