The written text of the court verdict against cancer-stricken Russian blogger Valeria Chekalina spans 30 pages following her sentence for illegal financial transfers.
Russian news agency RIA Novosti reported the length of the legal document following the conclusion of trial proceedings in Moscow. All parties involved in the court case have the right to obtain official printed copies of the full verdict within a five-day period following its formal pronouncement.

The court sentenced Chekalina, who is widely known to her millions of online followers under the pseudonym Lerchek, on July 31. Judges handed down a five-year suspended prison sentence, ordered a fine of 765 million rubles, and prohibited her from promoting her commercial brand on the internet for three years.
Court Restrictions and Incarceration Risks
It was previously reported that Chekalina, who is suffering from cancer, could have her five-year suspended sentence converted into a real prison term if she violates any court prohibitions. Under Russian criminal procedure, individuals serving suspended sentences are subject to regular supervision by probation authorities, and any failure to adhere to judicial bans can result in immediate revocation of the suspension.
According to law enforcement officers, the influencer ran a commercial enterprise selling online fitness marathons between September 2021 and February 2022. Investigators stated that she operated the scheme alongside her former husband Artem Chekalin, their business partner, and several other accomplices.
Law enforcement officials said that during that timeframe, Chekalina and her co-conspirators illegally transferred more than 251.5 million rubles to bank accounts located in the United Arab Emirates.
Background to the Financial Investigation
Chekalina gained national prominence in Russia as a leading lifestyle content creator, using social media channels to sell interactive fitness marathon subscriptions and personal cosmetics. Online marathons typically involve paid digital access to daily workout guides and dietary plans distributed through messaging channels.
The United Arab Emirates serves as a major commercial and financial hub in the Middle East, frequently utilized by international businesses for cross-border financial settlements. Under Russian law, strict currency controls regulate foreign bank transfers, and failing to register international corporate transactions with monetary authorities can lead to severe criminal penalties.
