Ukrainian banks expect the US dollar to hold between 45 and 45.7 hryvnias through November 8, according to currency market projections from Globus Bank.

US dollar to hold near 45 hryvnias in Ukraine, banker says

The US dollar will trade between 45 and 45.7 hryvnias on the Ukrainian cash market through November 8, Globus Bank executive Taras Lesovyi forecast.

The projection means that purchasing 100 US dollars will cost Ukrainian consumers between 4,500 and 4,570 hryvnias, while buying 1,000 dollars will require an outlay of 45,000 to 45,700 hryvnias. On the interbank currency market, the American currency is expected to sit in a band between 44.85 and 45.7 hryvnias.

Lesovyi, who serves as director of the financial markets and investment department at Globus Bank, provided the figures in comments to Ukrainian news agency UNIAN. He noted that military risks across the country remain elevated, forcing the national economy to operate under persistent financial losses and mounting overheads.

Euro exchange rates and inflation outlook

Ukrainians should not expect inflationary pressure to ease in the immediate future, Lesovyi said, though he emphasised that there is no cause for panic among the public. In European currency trading, the euro is forecast to fluctuate between 50 and 52 hryvnias across both the interbank market and the cash market during the first week of November.

Under those European rates, 100 euros will cost between 5,000 and 5,200 hryvnias up to November 8, while 1,000 euros will range from 50,000 to 52,000 hryvnias. The cash market reflects the prices that Ukrainian citizens encounter at street exchange kiosks and commercial bank branches, whereas interbank trades occur directly between institutional lenders to establish wholesale benchmark valuations.

Dollar projections for late 2026

Looking further ahead, exchange rate shifts are anticipated to stay moderate and controlled, according to Sergii Mamedov, the vice president of the Association of Ukrainian Banks and chairman of the board at Globus Bank. Mamedov said dollar fluctuations through the conclusion of 2026 will remain entirely predictable despite severe ongoing challenges.

Ukraine continues to navigate active wartime conditions, massive state budgetary demands, and an ongoing dependence on international financial assistance, Mamedov explained. For the second half of 2026, he projected that the US dollar will trade in a range of 45.5 to 46.5 hryvnias, while the euro will settle between 52.5 and 53.5 hryvnias.
