Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman urged Donald Trump to prioritize dialogue as a way to reduce tensions in the Middle East, according to Saudi Arabia's official news agency SPA.
The Crown Prince, who is the de facto leader of Saudi Arabia and a key US ally, also stressed the importance of making every possible effort to achieve a ceasefire, SPA reported.

According to SPA, bin Salman underlined the need to give priority to dialogue in order to de-escalate tensions and called for all available efforts to be directed toward reaching a ceasefire agreement.
The phone call took place hours after Trump announced he was suspending planned strikes against Iran, a decision he said came at the request of countries in the region.
