Peruvian actress Stephanie Cayo has denied she is pregnant, responding to rumours sparked by a photograph shared by her partner, Spanish singer Alejandro Sanz. The image, taken during their holiday in Spain, showed Cayo with her hands resting on her abdomen, a gesture that led fans to speculate the couple was expecting their first child together.

Sanz, 57, captioned the post with the words "a little sea, a lot of love, my loved ones close by, and poetry inside," a message that fuelled speculation among followers, who read the scene as an announcement that the couple was expecting a baby.

Reaction on social media was immediate, with hundreds of comments claiming that Cayo's pose confirmed she was going to become a mother. Even people close to the actress reportedly joined in the speculation.
Faced with the wave of messages, Cayo addressed the rumours directly on her Instagram Stories, accompanying her response with a laughing-face emoji. She wrote that even her own mother had asked her, and that the answer was no. With that, she ruled out any pregnancy and made clear the photograph had no connection to a personal announcement.

Cayo and Sanz's relationship
Cayo, 38, and Sanz confirmed their relationship at the start of 2026, following months of media speculation. Since then, the couple have shared trips and family moments, including a recent break in Mallorca with the singer's children.
Cayo, who stars in the Netflix series 'DOC', has said in interviews that her bond with Sanz began as a friendship before developing into a romantic relationship marked by mutual respect and admiration.
The photograph that triggered the speculation ended up becoming a holiday anecdote. With her response, Cayo put the rumours to rest and confirmed that, for now, there are no plans for motherhood in her relationship with Sanz.
