Russian air defence systems destroyed seven unmanned aerial vehicles that were heading toward Moscow, Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said in a post on his channel on the MAX messenger app.
Sobyanin said emergency service specialists were currently working at the sites where the debris fell.
Recent attacks in southern Russia
The report follows earlier attacks by Ukraine's armed forces on Russia's Krasnodar region, which the source says sparked a fire at the Ilsky oil refinery. A day before that, debris from Ukrainian drones hit fuel tanks at a refinery in the Yaroslavl region, also causing a fire, according to the source.
