Three men living on the Greek island of Skiathos were involved in a violent brawl on Sunday after a workplace dispute escalated, according to the news site taxydromos.gr. Police arrested two people following the fight, and a third man was injured.
The three men, all Skiathos residents who were on the island for work, got into a heated argument for reasons that remain unclear, taxydromos.gr reported. The dispute escalated and the men began fighting, according to the report.
Injury and arrests
A middle-aged man suffered a head injury during the fight and received first aid at the island's Health Center, taxydromos.gr reported. Police then arrested two people in connection with the brawl.
The two arrested men were escorted by police to the Single-Member Misdemeanor Court of Volos, which handles same-day criminal cases. The court decided the pair would instead be tried on Tuesday, after their lawyer was unavailable, according to the report.
The injured man also attended the court hearing. Following the postponement, he was due to go to Volos Hospital for further examination, taxydromos.gr reported.
The Skiathos Police Station is continuing a preliminary investigation into the causes of the brawl, according to the report.
