The stable update based on Android 17 was released on September 16, but availability remains limited to South Korea. Samsung Thailand initially announced that One UI 9.0 would become available locally on September 21, suggesting that broader international distribution would begin around the same time. However, that date passed without the update appearing in Thailand or any other global market.
Following the missed target, Samsung Thailand postponed the regional launch by one week to September 28. The company has now removed that specific date from its revised press release entirely, leaving the exact timeline uncertain.
In the current version of the document, Samsung states only that One UI 9.0 for the Galaxy S26 series will be released in September. The removal of the September 28 target indicates that the manufacturer may no longer be confident in launching the software on that day. The specific reasons for delaying the global rollout have not been revealed.
