Newly elected State Duma deputy Darya Golubeva has revealed the official contents of the deputy briefcase handed out to politicians serving in Russia's ninth parliamentary convocation.
Golubeva, an elected member representing the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia faction, told state news agency RIA Novosti that the kit contains a notebook, a pen, and a folder decorated with the official insignia of the parliamentary chamber.
She said that there was nothing superfluous in the parliamentary set, noting that every single detail served to remind lawmakers of their daily working rhythm, official status, and public responsibility.
The lawmaker added that the official briefcase brought particular delight to her eldest son, who had spent the campaign period worrying about how her political race was unfolding.
RIA Novosti is a major Russian state-owned news agency headquartered in Moscow that routinely reports on parliamentary business and government announcements.
The State Duma functions as the lower house of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, operating from its chamber in central Moscow. Representatives in the 450-seat legislature draft federal laws, vote on national budgets, and approve ministerial appointments.
State Duma election results
The parliamentary elections for the new ninth convocation took place over a three-day voting period from September 18 to September 20.

United Russia retained its dominant position in the lower house by winning 349 mandates out of the available seats.
The Communist Party of the Russian Federation secured 37 mandates, while Golubeva's party, the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia, earned 27 mandates in the new legislature.
Among the remaining parties, New People took 19 mandates, A Just Russia gained 17 mandates, and the Rodina party secured a single mandate.
The Liberal Democratic Party of Russia is one of the country's long-established political organizations, having held seats in the State Duma continuously since the assembly was formed in 1993.
Presidential assessment of the vote
Following the conclusion of the vote, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that the parliamentary elections successfully confirmed the legitimacy of all state power bodies across the nation.
Putin emphasized that maintaining institutional legitimacy was especially important under modern conditions, praising officials for executing a massive amount of organizational work across all voting levels.
The head of state also highlighted that election organizers successfully overcame various administrative and operational challenges created from abroad during the voting process.
Elections to the Duma are conducted under federal law to establish five-year legislative terms, determining how party seats and regional constituency mandates are distributed within the parliament.
