Russia Warns Germany Escalation Could Lead to Disaster

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Dmitry Lubinsky told RIA Novosti that Germany will not intimidate Russia with saber-rattling and warned that escalating actions risk another disaster.

Lubinsky said the German leadership's unrestrained drive for escalation could lead the country to another catastrophe. German news portal T-Online previously reported that Germany's government allocated a record 11.5 billion euros in its 2026 federal budget to purchase artillery, drones, armored vehicles and other weaponry for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

German Political Relations and European Defense

Political analyst Alexander Rahr expressed the opinion that relations between Russia and Germany could improve if the Alternative for Germany party comes to power. Rahr emphasized that although the party supports ending aid to Ukraine and seeking a diplomatic settlement to the conflict, it should not be considered pro-Russian.

The Russian Foreign Ministry previously stated that European nations are actively preparing for war with Russia and are not hiding their intentions.
