Amor Rebelde singer Rosaly Canario has cut off all communication with La Bella Luz leader Óscar Junior Custodio following an uncomfortable meeting.
Canario spoke out on her Instagram account after a video circulated on social media in recent hours showing her and Custodio sitting close together inside a parked car. The unclear images prompted speculation among online users that the two singers were in a romantic relationship.
The singer, who also works as a professional model, denied any romantic link with the 22-year-old vocalist. She said the video was recorded two weeks ago, before allegations against the orchestra emerged.
Canario also addressed criticism suggesting the viral clip was a strategy to divert attention from a complaint filed by Naldy Saldaña regarding alleged improper touching. The allegations against the orchestra had triggered an internal crisis within La Bella Luz.
Rejection of cover-up claims
Canario said she strongly rejected any suggestion that she would lend herself to covering up or minimizing events under complaint against the orchestra. She added that she would never act to hide a situation of that nature.
Uncomfortable work meeting
In her social media post, Canario indicated she felt misled by the encounter with the artist known as Senderito. She explained that the meeting was initially arranged as a work conversation, but that discussion never took place.
Canario described the situation as very unpleasant and said the supposed work meeting made her feel uncomfortable. Following the encounter, she decided to distance herself and end all contact with the young orchestra owner. She stated that as of today she maintains no communication of any kind with Custodio.
