PrivatBank lowered its foreign currency exchange rates on Wednesday, September 30, cutting the price of the US dollar and euro for customers across Ukraine.
The state-owned lender reduced its dollar rate for branch transactions by 20 kopecks to 44.95 hryvnias, while dropping the euro rate by 25 kopecks to 51.20 hryvnias.
PrivatBank set its buying rate for customers selling US dollars at 44.35 hryvnias per dollar, while the buying rate for euros stood at 50.20 hryvnias.

For card payments, the bank reduced its dollar exchange rate by 20 kopecks to 45.05 hryvnias, while the euro card rate fell by 27 kopecks to 51.28 hryvnias.
PrivatBank is the largest commercial bank in Ukraine, serving millions of individual and corporate retail clients. As a state-owned financial institution, its daily foreign exchange rate adjustments serve as a key benchmark for retail currency transactions throughout the country.
Central bank official rates
The National Bank of Ukraine established the official exchange rate for September 30 at 44.86 hryvnias per US dollar. This official benchmark represents a weakening of the Ukrainian national currency by four kopecks compared with the previous indicator.
In contrast, the hryvnia strengthened against the European single currency. The central bank set the official euro rate at 50.93 hryvnias per euro, representing a gain of four kopecks for the hryvnia.
The National Bank of Ukraine functions as the central monetary authority of Ukraine. It calculates and publishes official benchmark exchange rates each business day to regulate financial markets and maintain economic stability across the national banking system.
Commercial bank averages
Across the broader Ukrainian banking sector, the average dollar exchange rate in commercial banks dropped by seven kopecks on Wednesday to 45.09 hryvnias per dollar. Lenders purchased American currency from the public at an average buying rate of 44.57 hryvnias per dollar.
The average euro exchange rate across Ukrainian banks fell by 14 kopecks on Wednesday, reaching 51.34 hryvnias per euro. The average rate for customers selling European currency to commercial banks stood at 50.67 hryvnias per euro.
