Panik Records, the record label representing singer Katerina Lioliou, has denied claims made by the nightclub Romeo about the end of its working relationship with the singer. The label rejected the venue's version of events in a statement posted to social media.
Panik Records said the singer's cooperation with the nightclub had been agreed in writing to run from April 17 to July 25, 2026, and that it was carried out exactly as agreed. The label called any suggestion that the deal had been agreed to run until January 2027 baseless and false.

In its Instagram post, Panik Records said that, prompted by Romeo's announcement that day, it wanted to clarify that the cooperation for the specific artistic program had been agreed in writing to last from April 17 through July 25, 2026, and that it was carried out exactly as agreed. It said any reference to a supposedly agreed duration running until January 2027 was baseless and false.
The label said Lioliou had fully honored every obligation she had agreed to, with consistency and respect toward the business, its staff and the public. It said her professional ethics had been demonstrated in practice throughout her career and that any suggestion to the contrary was baseless and offensive. Panik Records said the season had concluded with enormous artistic and commercial success, and it thanked everyone involved as well as the audience.
The label added that it did not want a public confrontation but felt obliged to set the record straight when the company and its partners were being unfairly criticized. It said agreements were clear, with a specific start and end date, and that they were recorded, honored, and not subject to change or reinterpretation after the fact.
Romeo's Original Claims
The dispute follows a statement from Romeo that, without naming Lioliou directly, made an indirect reference to her, claiming that their cooperation had ended earlier than had been agreed. According to the nightclub, Lioliou was supposed to continue performing there until January 2027. Instead, she announced that she would work with singer Sakis Rouvas at the venue Enastron over the winter.
Following remarks from Romeo referring to "some who choose not to respect their commitments," people close to Katerina Lioliou described the comments as an unjustified and unseemly attack.
