Natalie Harp Emerges as Key Executive Assistant to Trump

Executive assistant Natalie Harp has drawn attention in Washington for her direct access to Donald Trump and her constant presence on official trips.

Natalie Harp Emerges as Key Executive Assistant to Trump

Executive assistant Natalie Harp has emerged as one of US President Donald Trump's most constant aides, accompanying him through official meetings, international travel, and security transfers.

The 35-year-old assistant reports directly to Trump and has repeatedly bypassed the traditional White House hierarchy, according to American news media reports. Her direct line to the president has allowed her to bypass senior officials, including the White House chief of staff, communications directors, and national security advisers.

Harp's proximity to Trump has drawn increased public attention in recent weeks, particularly after she was included in a small group of personnel who accompanied the president during a security transfer following his trip to Turkey for a North Atlantic Treaty Organization meeting. She is known among aides as the human printer because she regularly travels alongside him carrying a portable printer to deliver paper documents into his hands.

Personal notes and White House access

Beyond providing documents, Harp frequently attaches personal notes of encouragement to the president. Several of her messages conclude with a phrase expressing support with all her heart, Natalie.

Her intense dedication to the former president has prompted public comment from inside her own family. Her brother, Preston Harp, has spoken publicly about her relationship with the president, describing the bond as unhealthy.

The relationship is also featured in the book Regime Change by political journalists Maggie Haberman and Jonathan Swan, who have written extensively on presidential politics. According to the authors, Trump considers Harp to be among the staff members who display the greatest affection toward him, expressing confidence that she will not leave his team as other aides have done.

Medical history and conservative media work

Harp was raised in California in a religious family before entering political commentary. Her initial connection to Trump dates back to 2018, when she was battling bone cancer, according to her own account.

In 2019, Harp appeared on the conservative news outlet Fox News to state that experimental treatment legislation enacted during Trump's first presidential term saved her life. Trump learned of her story and subsequently invited her to address delegates as a speaker at the 2020 Republican National Convention.

Following that national exposure, Harp worked for two years as a television anchor for One America News Network, a conservative cable network. During her tenure, she publicly defended Trump's false claims alleging widespread fraud in the 2020 US presidential election, before formally joining Trump's staff in 2022.
