Peruvian singer Naldy Saldaña has said that cumbia group La Bella Luz has not contacted her to resolve outstanding payments and benefits since she resigned from the band.
Saldaña made the comments during an appearance on the television program 'Más Espectáculos', in a conversation with host Jazmín Pinedo about her departure from the group.
Asked whether the group had honored what was agreed in terms of payments and benefits, Saldaña said that after she formally submitted her resignation, there had been no further communication with her, and that this remained the case up to the day of the interview. She said she had tried to handle the situation calmly, adding that it was complicated because she had always considered the group like family. She said that, as she had always maintained, everyone had to be at peace with their own conscience over how they had acted, and left it at that.

Pinedo reacted with visible disapproval at the idea of someone leaving a job without receiving what they were owed.
She said she understood that Saldaña might avoid saying it herself out of respect, but that she would say it: it was not fair for a group to fail to meet its commitments, and no one should end a working relationship without securing their rights. She said that, on top of the difficulties Saldaña was already facing, this left her even more unprotected. Pinedo stressed how important financial stability is for anyone going through such a process while also looking for new opportunities, and asked what was going on, saying the situation needed to be addressed and should not be this complicated.
'Más Espectáculos' is a Peruvian entertainment television program, and Jazmín Pinedo is one of its established hosts, known for interviewing figures from the country's music and television scene. La Bella Luz is a Peruvian cumbia group that Saldaña performed with before her resignation.
Saldaña is still waiting for a response from La Bella Luz, according to the report, while she focuses on moving her career forward after leaving the group.
