Peruvian television personality Mario Hart has spoken publicly about his separation from Korina Rivadeneira, detailing how their daughter is coping with his departure.
The former reality competition star revealed that his eldest daughter, Larita, has struggled with his absence since he moved out of the home they shared as a family.
Hart explained during an interview on the Peruvian entertainment programme Magaly TV, la firme that one of the most emotional moments occurs when he stays overnight with his children. He said Larita frequently reminds him during his visits that he no longer sleeps at the house and expresses anxiety whenever he stays over.
According to Hart, his daughter refuses to fall asleep during those overnight visits because she fears he will slip away before morning. He recalled that she begs him not to leave and asks him to stay, telling him she worries that when she wakes up the next day he will already be gone.
Hart described the adjustment as very hard and deeply sad, but acknowledged that it is an unavoidable part of the process of family separation.
Impact on the children
The discussion took place during an interview with television host Magaly Medina, known prominently in Peru as La Urraca. Medina questioned Hart on how Larita was adjusting to the sudden change in her daily routine and whether the family had considered professional support.
Medina asked directly whether Hart and Rivadeneira had sought psychological help for their children, noting that young children often maintain hope that their parents will reconcile and get back together.
Hart responded that his eldest daughter had never directly voiced any expectation of a reconciliation to him. He added that both he and Rivadeneira, a Venezuelan model and actress, are attempting to handle the transition as thoughtfully as possible for the sake of their family.
Hart, a professional race car driver who gained widespread fame on the Peruvian reality show Esto es guerra, maintained that both parents remain committed to managing the ongoing situation in the best way they can.
