The actress uncovered the personal mementos while spending two days opening drawers and clearing out years of accumulated paperwork at her home. She explained that she considers herself a hoarder who frequently collects documents over time.
During the cleanup, Solomou sorted through various administrative items, including a copy of a 2011 tax return statement. She loaded a large bag full of paper to send for recycling while retaining her complete medical examination records and medical history, stating that finding her records gave her peace of mind.
Discovery of old love letters
Alongside official documents, Solomou discovered a collection of personal keepsakes, including photos, small letters, notes, and notebooks filled with writing. She stated that every self-respecting woman maintains a time capsule containing written notes and memories from past relationships.
Solomou explained that the items belong to people who have passed through her life, whom she still loves and maintains relationships with today. She acknowledged that re-reading old messages is surprising because details fade from memory, adding that while the memory of a feeling remains, the original emotion cannot be brought back to life.
Deciding to read several notes on camera, Solomou praised Athanasiou for writing very well and joked that she intended to expose him. She noted that he wrote on whatever paper was available, showing one text written on the back of a document and a napkin featuring a handwritten message declaring his love for her.
