Greek stand-up comedian Lambros Fisfis revealed during a television interview that his Portuguese wife loves Greece even more than local Greek citizens do.
Speaking on the morning show Super Katerina on Wednesday, September 23, Fisfis admitted he initially feared his wife Sara Toscano would not enjoy living in Greece due to her Portuguese heritage.
He joked that Toscano's deep affection for the country has since grown so strong that it has become somewhat terrifying.

Bilingual upbringing for daughters
Fisfis and Toscano share two daughters together. The couple makes a conscious effort to speak both Greek and Portuguese at home so their children learn both languages.
He described parenthood as a unique experience, adding that maintaining both languages allows their daughters to absorb everything from both cultural backgrounds.
Social media comedy risks
Fisfis also discussed his work as a stand-up comedian, explaining that presenting comedy on social media platforms involves fundamentally different rules compared to live stage performances.
He noted that social media operates in a completely different world where audiences usually do not know what a performer is thinking at that moment, creating significantly higher risks.
Early career rejection and odd jobs
Reflecting on his career development, Fisfis confessed that he faced frequent rejection during his early years, maintaining that the experience ultimately made him better.
He stated that managing daily rejection was a hard but essential part of professional growth necessary to improve as a comedian.
Before earning a living through stand-up comedy, Fisfis explained that he worked numerous odd jobs to support himself, including roles as a waiter, boat tour guide, translator, and assistant cook.
He noted that he took on these daytime jobs to support himself while performing comedy at night, driven by the hope that stand-up would one day become his full-time profession.
Television hosting and professional bonds
Addressing the prospect of returning to television hosting, Fisfis expressed openness to future broadcasting projects, stating that he enjoys any program where comedy serves as the common denominator.
Fisfis concluded by speaking about his close relationship with fellow comedians Dimitris Makalias and Zisis Roubos.
He described his bond with Makalias and Roubos as almost brotherly, adding that he cannot imagine his personal or professional life without them.
