Jose Burga, host of cumbia band La Bella Luz, was publicly accused by his ex-wife of having a secret relationship with singer Naldy Saldana.

Speaking on the Panamericana Televisión program La calle no calla, Burga's ex-wife presented screenshot messages as alleged proof of the affair. She stated that the relationship occurred while the 26-year-old singer was already dating her current partner, Hansel Bernuy.
The ex-wife explained that she found the compromising conversations after Burga visited her while intoxicated and fell asleep. Sensing something was wrong, she checked his mobile phone and discovered chats in which the sender identified as Naldy and Burga addressed each other with affectionate nicknames. Burga also mentioned meeting at a hotel where he claimed they had met before.
Discovery of chat messages
Burga's ex-wife said she contacted Bernuy directly after reading the messages, adding that he became visibly distressed upon learning of the situation. She noted that everyone was aware both she and Saldana were in relationships at the time. She explained that she initially remained silent to protect her image in the artistic world and out of respect for her eldest daughter with Burga.
The ex-wife also stated that she called Saldana to confront her. She said Saldana cried and apologized during the call. The ex-wife said she told Saldana she would not expose the situation because Saldana is a woman and she has daughters of her own, but warned her to be careful because her actions were wrong.
Distraction from misconduct allegations
The television interview aired shortly after Saldana filed a legal complaint against Cesar Sanchez Chavesta, the former musical director of La Bella Luz and cousin of group owner Oscar Custodio, for alleged improper touching.
The broadcast faced immediate criticism for potentially distracting attention from Saldana's legal allegations against Sanchez. Minutes after its publication, the video of the interview was removed from the YouTube channel of Panamericana Televisión.
