Singer and businesswoman Jessica Simpson will have her life and career detailed in an upcoming feature documentary for Netflix directed by Joe Pearlman.
The feature documentary will provide viewers with a deeper look into Simpson's life and career, according to reporting by Variety. Van Toffler, who previously oversaw MTV's Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica, is also involved with the production.

Simpson originally gained widespread public attention during the same era as fellow pop performers Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, and Mandy Moore. Over the course of her career in music, she has sold more than 20 million records.
She also starred in one of the earliest celebrity reality television series, MTV's Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica. The show chronicled her marriage to 98 Degrees lead singer Nick Lachey and detailed the difficulties in their relationship. It aired for three seasons from 2003 to 2005.
