Jessica Alba Gets Matching Wrist Tattoo With Daughter Honor

Jessica Alba has marked her daughter Honor's 18th birthday by getting a matching eye tattoo on her left wrist at a Los Angeles studio.

The 45-year-old movie star visited her regular tattoo artist Daniel Winter, the 44-year-old owner of Winterstone Tattoo Studio in Southern California, to receive the ink alongside her eldest child. Both women had matching eye artwork inked onto their left wrists.

Speaking to the Daily Mail on Wednesday, August 19, Winter said it was an honor to give the gift to both women, adding that it was wonderful to administer Honor's first tattoo on her 18th birthday while creating a matching piece with her mother.

Winter explained that he could not reveal the secret meaning behind the artwork, stating that he would leave that explanation to Alba and her daughter. He described tattooing Alba as a wonderful experience, calling her a kind person, and noted that the eye design was created through a joint collaborative process between all three of them before his final artwork was selected for the tattoo. He added that he has worked with Alba multiple times and expects to collaborate with her again.

Tattoo Design and Meaning

The birthday ink follows Honor's 18th birthday on June 7, when Alba posted a video montage on Instagram featuring photographs of her daughter spanning from childhood to the present day.

In a lengthy caption accompanying the video, Alba wrote to her daughter, whom she called Honorcita, that looking back on the past 18 years was the most important and defining experience of her life. Alba stated that Honor had opened her heart and expanded her understanding of love in ways she had never known were possible.

Alba described her daughter as kind, thoughtful, dynamic, smart, and witty, with a sharp sense of humor, noting that Honor lights up every room she enters. She praised Honor's compassion, stating that seeing a lonely person on a park bench could bring tears to her eyes and that simple acts of kindness moved her deeply.

Addressing Honor's transition into adulthood, Alba wrote that while part of her wanted to protect her daughter forever, a larger part wanted to watch her explore the world. Alba promised that she would always be available to support her, stating she would board the first available flight whenever her daughter needed comfort, a hug, or felt homesick, and described being her mother as the greatest gift of her life.

Family Milestones and History

The birthday celebration marks the latest milestone Alba has shared publicly regarding her daughter. Earlier in the summer, on May 30, 2026, Alba posted about Honor's high school graduation, sharing that her heart was overflowing with pride over her daughter's achievement.

Shortly after the graduation, on June 19, 2026, Alba shared a social media video showing the mother and daughter dancing together to the Michael Jackson song Beat It, which drew comments from fans noting how youthful the actress appeared alongside her teenage daughter.
