The creator and performer Eleni will take the stage at Stoa Culture in central Athens on Friday, September 11, for a special live acoustic concert blending jazz classics, Latin American rhythms, and Greek melodies.
Accompanied by an acoustic quartet, the artist will perform an emotional program featuring timeless jazz standards, Latin American sounds, and beloved Greek traditional and entechno songs.
The concert marks the presentation of her recent album titled Xana, which was released by the major Greek record label Minos EMI. Organizers said Eleni will also offer audiences a first preview of her forthcoming album, Cielo.
Her upcoming album draws inspiration from the musical traditions of Argentina, Cuba, Mexico, Brazil, and other Latin American nations. Eleni has built a reputation for connecting Greek and Spanish lyrics, creating a personal musical style where distinct cultures meet harmoniously. Her songs address themes of love, human relationships, homeland, and living abroad, using imagery drawn from nature and global beauty.
International Quartet Lineup
Eleni will perform on vocals and percussion during the show. She will be joined on stage by internationally recognized guitarists Dario Baroso from Barcelona and Gilad Barakan from New York.
The line-up is completed by Lampros Papanikolaou on double bass and Jason Wastor on drums. Barcelona in Spain and New York City in the United States represent major global music centers where both guest guitarists built their reputations.
Ahead of the Athens show, the artist recently presented two distinct renditions of the famous jazz standards The Nearness of You and 'Round Midnight. Both recordings featured a collaboration with internationally renowned pianist Shai Maestro, highlighting her active role in the contemporary jazz scene.
