Diddy Federal Prison Release Moved to February 5, 2028

Music producer Sean Combs has had his prison release date moved forward to Feb. 5, 2028, reducing the time he is scheduled to serve at a federal correctional facility in New Jersey.

Combs was sentenced in 2025 to four years and two months in prison after a court found him guilty on two counts of transporting prostitutes across state lines for sexual exploitation. He began serving his sentence in October 2025 at the FCI Fort Dix federal prison.

According to the Bureau of Prisons, the scheduled release date for Combs has been updated to Feb. 5, 2028. His release date was originally set for June 2028 before being moved to Feb. 20, 2028, in August, with authorities making further adjustments since that initial change.

Shifting release dates and prison term

FCI Fort Dix is a low-security federal correctional institution located in Burlington County, New Jersey. The Federal Bureau of Prisons manages inmate release calculations based on court sentences and custody records, though officials have not stated whether additional adjustments will take place.

Reports from TMZ indicate that the release date was adjusted following a brawl inside the prison facility.

The updated timeline follows public expressions of support from Combs's 28-year-old son, Christian King Combs. During a recent livestream hosted by rapper DDG, the younger Combs appeared on camera, exchanged handshakes with the host, and called twice for his father to be set free before continuing to dance to music.

Christian Combs is a hip-hop performer who has publicly stood by his father throughout the legal proceedings. Rapper DDG, whose real name is Pontiac Made DDG, is an online content creator who regularly broadcasts live video sessions to his followers.

Federal prison records currently reflect the Feb. 5, 2028 release date, though it remains unknown whether further changes will be made to his sentence schedule.
