Dangbei has launched the RX10 compact laser projector in China, offering Full HD resolution and a portable design for 5,499 yuan, or roughly 810 dollars.

The device features a built-in stand that rotates 225 degrees, allowing users to direct the projection onto a wall or point it almost vertically upward to turn a ceiling into a screen without requiring separate brackets or mounting hardware.

Designed for portable use, the RX10 automatically reconfigures its image every time it is moved. The system handles focus, keystone correction, and obstacle recognition independently, adjusting picture geometry without requiring manual user input.

Display and Hardware Specifications

The projector is built around a 0.33-inch DMD chip and outputs a native resolution of 1920x1080 pixels. Although the display outputs in Full HD format, the unit can accept 4K input signals over its HDMI connection.

Illumination is supplied by an ALPD 2 laser light source. According to the manufacturer, the setup produces a brightness rating of 1,200 CVIA lumens and 1,200 ISO lumens.

Under the hood, the projector runs on a MediaTek MT9669 system-on-chip, paired with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal flash storage. The system operates on Dangbei OS 5.0, a custom operating system built on top of Android, and includes support for HDR10, HLG, and MEMC motion-smoothing technology for high-speed content.

Connectivity and Portable Power

For connectivity, the model offers Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0 wireless standards. Physical ports include a single USB 2.0 port and one HDMI 2.1 port with Enhanced Audio Return Channel (eARC) compatibility.

Audio is delivered by two 6-watt speakers integrated directly into the base of the rotating stand. The speakers are angled upward at 15 degrees, a design intended to minimize sound reflection off tabletop surfaces.

In standard desktop operation, the projector plugs into a 110-watt power adapter and draws approximately 90 watts of electricity. For mobile use, the RX10 can be powered using an external power bank that supports USB Power Delivery of at least 45 watts, connected through a proprietary USB-C cable sold separately.

Constructed from a combination of glass, polycarbonate, polymer materials, and carbon steel, the unit weighs 2.1 kilograms.
