Comic Con Dominican Republic 2026 reveals guest lineup

Comic Con Dominican Republic has announced its third edition will take place on Saturday, October 24 and Sunday, October 25, 2026, at Puerto San Souci.

Organisers confirmed that the event in Santo Domingo Este will serve as the country's main convention for pop culture, comic books, anime, video games, and entertainment.

The festival forms part of a major regional circuit of geek culture events across Central America and the Caribbean. Previous editions in the region have featured prominent international actors, including Giancarlo Esposito, Pom Klementieff, Tyler Hoechlin, Finn Jones, Tom Wlaschiha, Carlos Villagrán, and René García.

British actress and musician Natalia Tena has been announced as the headline guest for the 2026 convention. Tena gained international fame for playing Nymphadora Tonks in the Harry Potter movie series and Osha in the HBO television drama Game of Thrones. She is also known as the lead singer of the musical group Molotov Jukebox.

International voice actors and cosplayers

The international guest list includes three prominent voice actors from Latin America alongside a globally recognised cosplay duo. Mexican voice actor and director Mike Leal, who began his career at seven years old, is among the featured guests. Leal is widely known across Spanish-speaking America for voicing Ash Ketchum in Pokémon since season 13 and playing Eren Jaeger, the central character in Attack on Titan.

Venezuelan voice actor, broadcaster, and director Luis Carreño will also meet fans at the event. Carreño has served as the official Spanish Latin voice of SpongeBob SquarePants continuously since 2000, bringing Nickelodeon's flagship animated character to Latin American audiences.

Mexican voice actor and announcer Dafnis Fernández joins the voice acting roster. His prominent dubbing roles include Roronoa Zoro in One Piece, Tyrion Lannister in Game of Thrones, and Gabriel Agreste, also known as Hawk Moth, in Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir.

Professional Mexican cosplayers Banana Cospboys will represent international cosplay at the gathering. The duo, made up of Luis Gamboa, known as Jinu, and Eduardo Peralta, known as Abby, are recognised internationally for their costume construction, mechanical props, and stage performances.

Local Dominican art talent will be featured through illustrator and 2D video game artist Kosena Master. Known for his character designs, he is currently preparing an artbook titled Barrio! and leads workshops on character creation.

Stage shows and cosplay championship

Event stages will host interactive performances and competitive events across both days, including the popular MegaUnboxing show. Comedian Minor Pérez will perform his stand-up comedy special Café Internet, while Israel Barrantes will present a dedicated horror segment for Proyecto Paranormal Latam following his work on the production Noctis.

The event will also include a K-Mecca Con block dedicated to the K-pop community, featuring singing and dance choreography competitions along with fan activities.

Cosplay will form a central focus of the weekend as the convention hosts the Mega Cosplay Master Cup Central America. Registration for the 32 competition places opens on August 29.

The first-place winner will secure an all-expenses-paid trip to Megacon Costa Rica 2027, where they will serve on the judging panel for the Top 8 contest alongside international guests. The prize package also includes an official champion trophy, a professional photo shoot with Kameko Cosplay from Costa Rica, and a 200 dollar gift card for the Panda commercial store in Costa Rica.
