Peruvian actor Carlos Alcántara said he is attracted to model Shirley Arica and that he approached her because he wanted to meet her, according to an interview with the newspaper Trome.
Alcántara, widely known by his nickname Cachín, said he is not currently looking to fall in love, though he believes love will arrive eventually. He said he now prefers to be direct rather than take roundabout approaches when he is interested in a woman.
What Alcántara said about Arica
Asked whether anything was happening between him and Arica, Alcántara pointed to what had already been seen publicly. He said what happened was what people saw, that he watches her talk and looks at her mouth, and that he wants to kiss her. He said he had told her directly that he likes her.
Alcántara said his appearance on the television program hosted by the winner of La Granja VIP Perú was intended specifically to meet Arica. He said what happens next depends on both of them. He also said Arica was later asked about him on another television program and replied that there was nothing going on between them.
Alcántara on his preferences
Alcántara said he does not set a specific age limit for the women who interest him. Asked whether he is drawn to younger women, he clarified that this does not mean he is looking for an eighteen year old partner.
He said he once met a considerably older woman he found attractive, not only for her looks but also for her conversation, manner and perfume. He said he is not currently seeking to fall in love but expects it will happen eventually, since he considers himself a romantic person. He said he enjoys the process of seduction when there is mutual interest.
