Family, friends, and fans gathered in Wales on Monday, August 17, for the funeral of singer Bonnie Tyler at St Mary's Church in Swansea.
The service took place following the unexpected death of the 75-year-old artist in hospital on July 8. Penny Matthews, Mayor of the City and County of Swansea, was among those who attended the funeral to pay her respects.

As the coffin arrived at the church, crowds of fans gathered outside broke into applause and sang her hit song It's a Heartache. Inside the church, a choir performed Bridge Over Troubled Water and her classic track Total Eclipse of the Heart.
Tributes From Long-Time Agent
Matt Davis, her long-time agent, delivered the eulogy during the service. Davis described Tyler as a star who could dominate any stage she performed on.
Davis said that Tyler was always a star but never a diva, adding that she never forgot her roots or where she came from. He noted that she would have been touched and impressed by the outpouring of love from fans across the world after her sudden death.
Procession to Hometown and Charity Requests
Following the church service in Swansea, the funeral procession traveled to Skewen, located in the Neath Port Talbot area, which was the singer's hometown.
Tyler's family requested that, in lieu of floral wreaths, mourners consider making donations to two charitable organizations. The family named the Noah's Ark Children's Hospital for Wales and Cerebral Palsy Cymru as the beneficiaries.
