Peruvian model Alondra Garcia Miro received a wave of humorous online comments after soccer player Paolo Guerrero unexpectedly re-followed her on Instagram.
The Alianza Lima striker also reposted one of Garcia Miro's posts before issuing a statement claiming his social media accounts had been hacked due to unusual activity.
Guerrero apologized for the inconvenience caused by the digital activity, but his explanation failed to persuade online followers who openly questioned the hacking claim.
Social media reaction to Instagram activity
The unexpected social media interaction prompted Guerrero's current partner, Brazilian model Ana Paula Consorte, to leave Peru shortly after news of the activity emerged. Garcia Miro, who was in France at the time according to her own social media uploads, saw her TikTok comment section quickly inundated with messages regarding her former partner.
Followers flooded her posts with jokes mocking Guerrero's apology, with one user remarking that the hacker's finger had simply slipped. Others declared that the veteran forward had not gotten over her, with one commenter sending greetings to Guerrero under the assumption that he was actively browsing her profile.
Additional comments asserted that Garcia Miro was and would remain the love of Guerrero's life. One user broadened the scope of the commentary by stating that neither Guerrero nor her other ex-partner, Peruvian reality television personality Mario Irivarren, had managed to move past their former relationship with the model.
Relationship with Spanish businessman
Garcia Miro has been in a relationship with 42-year-old Spanish businessman Francisco Alister Moreno for more than four years. In previous statements to the television show America Espectaculos, the former reality show star discussed her personal life and her outlook on long-term commitment.
She explained to America Espectaculos that marriage excited her because she held traditional values regarding relationships. She noted that she grew up in a home with married parents and maintained a firm belief in romance, adding that cohabitation represented a major commitment and served as a seal of love.
Addressing the topic of motherhood, Garcia Miro stated that while she desired to have children in the future, she was not planning to become a mother at present. She emphasized that she felt happy and fulfilled with her current situation and was focusing entirely on enjoying her present life.
