Alejandra Baigorria Mocked Over Husband's New Manager Role

Peruvian entrepreneur Alejandra Baigorria has sparked social media criticism after introducing her husband, Said Palao, as the general manager of her new commercial venture.

Baigorria unveiled her new brand, named Agarra tu gringa, in a promotional video published across her digital channels. In the clip, the influencer performed a choreographed dance while walking through an apartment in clothes associated with her brand to reach a wider audience.

During the promotional recording, Baigorria jokingly assigned an official title to Palao. She told viewers that her husband, acting as general manager, told her that if she danced they would triple ticket sales for the business, which she also referred to as Chapa Tu Gringa.

The informal announcement quickly drew a wave of sarcastic responses from social media users. Many commenters linked the general manager remark to an earlier controversy involving Palao, a reality television personality on the competitive show Esto es guerra.

Social media reaction

Online critics referenced a widely publicised incident in Argentina where Palao was caught on camera on a yacht. One commenter wrote that her husband promised to take her to the yacht if she danced, while another joked that Palao was only the general manager of the yacht.

Other users posted mocking messages suggesting her husband said that if she danced he would no longer cheat on her. Baigorria used the video format to maximize digital reach despite the resulting mockery surrounding her husband's role in the venture.

Earlier scandals and background

The online backlash coincides with broader public scrutiny surrounding Baigorria, who recently defended herself after an international report featured her in a story about influencers using images of impoverished African children for digital reach. Television host Magaly Medina also criticized Baigorria over that footage, stating that creators should not seek likes based on the misfortunes of children, while Baigorria maintained her actions were legal.

Baigorria is a prominent Peruvian television personality, influencer, and businesswoman who built a public profile appearing on competitive reality series before expanding into fashion retail. Palao is a Peruvian judoka and television star who gained national recognition on long-running reality programs in Peru.

The couple married following a high-profile relationship in the public eye. Their marriage continued despite public scrutiny and gossip coverage stemming from Palao's earlier trip to Argentina, where camera footage sparked widespread tabloid commentary in Peru.
