Spain's State Meteorological Agency has issued a yellow weather warning for high temperatures across the Cordoba countryside on Monday, August 31, with maximums reaching 38C.
According to official data from the weather service, known as Aemet, the alert remains active from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. across the agricultural lowland zone of Cordoba province.
Reports published by news agency Europa Press following consultation with Aemet's official website confirmed that thermometers in the Cordoba countryside will reach peak afternoon values during the eight-hour warning window. The agency also noted local maximum temperatures recording 28C in specific parts of the district.

Across the wider autonomous community of Andalusia, weather conditions on Monday feature a mix of coastal mist and clear inland skies. Low cloud intervals, haze, and fog are expected along the Mediterranean coast and around the Strait of Gibraltar.
Forecasters said overall temperatures across the region will experience an upward trend, although localized areas will see little to no temperature change. Winds will remain light and variable across most inland territories, accompanied by cooling sea breezes along the southern coastline.
In the Strait of Gibraltar, the easterly Levante wind is forecast to intensify, shifting from light to moderate strength as the day progresses.
