Greek actress Zeta Douka has revealed a summer tradition she shares with her daughter Thalia, taking a photograph on the same bench in Paleochora, Crete, every year since 2018.
The actress published a collection of photos on Instagram on August 18, 2026, showing the pair posing on a bench outside the Methexis tavern with the sea in the background.

Douka shared snapshots spanning seven years, including 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2025, and 2026. In her caption, she wrote that the years pass and they grow up together as their shared memories expand.
She noted that it was wonderful to have small but important reference points reminding them of their journey together. She pointed to the bench outside Methexis where they have taken a photo every summer since their first visit in 2018, before declaring her love for Thalia.

Annual visits to the Cretan coast
Paleochora is a coastal town located on the south-west coast of Crete, the largest island in Greece. Douka explained that visiting the seaside town and posing by the tavern has become a regular summer custom for the pair.
The trip to Crete follows a broader summer of travel across the Greek islands for the actress. Prior to her stay in Crete, Douka traveled to Kasos on August 2, 2026, after spending time on the islands of Tinos and Paxos.
Summer island tour across Greece
Tinos is an island in the Cyclades archipelago, while Paxos is situated in the Ionian Sea. Kasos lies in the southern Aegean Sea as part of the Dodecanese island chain.
Earlier in the summer, on July 28, 2026, Douka also posted updates from a boat excursion to Armathia, an uninhabited islet off the coast of Kasos. She described that outing as a walk in paradise and an unforgettable experience that offered everything.
