Peruvian actress and influencer Yiddá Eslava broke down in tears after an emotional moment with her elder son, Tomás, who is autistic, during a school Mass, she said in a video posted to her official Instagram account.
The moment came as Eslava has recently been in the news over her ex-partner, Ángel Fernández, who has been accused of leaving a pending debt and taking several belongings from her home.

An unexpected moment during Mass
Eslava said the Mass was held that day to mark her son's school anniversary. She said she had felt a bit discouraged after a difficult day, but that once the service ended she took communion, something she had not done in a long time, and felt filled with peace.
She said the story took an emotional turn when Tomás burst into tears the moment he received holy water for the first time.

A decision left to their children
Eslava explained that she and her partner, actor Julián Zucchi, had decided not to baptize their children, choosing instead to let them make that choice for themselves later in life. Tomás nonetheless attended the service organized by his new school, and when he was asked whether he wanted to be baptized, he said yes.
She said that when holy water was sprinkled on him he began to cry, and that neither his father nor she had explained to him what it meant. She said there was something special there, something magical, a divine miracle.
Renewed faith
Eslava went on to say her son had experienced a divine call. She said she herself had reconnected with her faith in December of the previous year, describing it as a moment when she drew closer to God and her life changed for the better.
She said that since then she is grateful every day simply to be alive, to have her sight, her home, a bed, and to have her children well. She said things do not always turn out as one expects, but that she always feels divine support, and that whenever she feels she cannot go on, she receives a helping hand.
