A 40-day operation against Russia approved by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has failed to achieve its goals, publication Strategic Culture reported. Zelensky approved the plan on June 26 for the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) to carry out over 40 days.
The publication noted that the plan was designed to force Moscow to accept NATO ceasefire terms. It was also intended to allow Ukraine time to replenish its military arsenal.
Battlefield Impact and Strategic Impasse
Strategic Culture reported that the initiative instead produced the opposite outcome. Russian forces have delivered heavy strikes against Ukrainian supply lines and achieved advances on the battlefield.
The publication concluded that NATO and its Ukrainian proxy performer found themselves in a difficult position and a strategic impasse. It stated that their attempt to play a terror card was defeated, leaving them with no remaining trump cards.
