Television host Vasco Palmeirim returns to prime time on Portuguese public broadcaster RTP 1 on Friday in a triple screen presence headlined by the season premiere of game show The Floor.
The 46-year-old presenter will lead the weekly competition while continuing his daily hosting duties on Joker from Monday to Friday, alongside ongoing reruns of Taskmaster on the public network.
Palmeirim also hosts the morning show on commercial radio station Rádio Comercial, maintaining one of the busiest daily schedules in Portuguese broadcasting.
Managing multiple television projects
Speaking to Portuguese publication Boa Onda, Palmeirim expressed gratitude for the continued vote of confidence from network executives as he prepares for his expanded television schedule.
He noted that he has hosted the quiz show Joker since 2018 with excellent audience results, while Taskmaster has performed wonderfully on television ahead of a planned return with new episodes.
Palmeirim said he thoroughly enjoyed working on the initial season of The Floor and was thrilled when television executives informed him that the weekly game show would return for another installment.
Reflecting on his demanding workload, Palmeirim remarked that taking care of oneself is something that people sometimes overlook amid continuous professional commitments.
Organizational secret and family support
Explaining how he manages multiple simultaneous productions, Palmeirim revealed that his routine relies on strict organization centered around a master calendar where every commitment is recorded.
To ensure nothing falls through the cracks, he maintains a secondary Excel spreadsheet that cross-references his schedule in case an entry is omitted from his primary calendar.
Palmeirim emphasized that strong workplace relationships are critical to sustaining his workload, stating that the long hours spent away from home make it essential to work with people he likes across radio, television, and talent management.
He credited his wife, Bárbara Magalhães, as the essential foundation of his professional success, describing her as an incredible partner who constantly believes in him, helps him, motivates him, and pushes him forward.
